Braves Ambassador Program
Description
The Braves Ambassador Program empowers community members to become active participants in shaping the future of our schools. Through a year-long exploration of district operations, participants will gain valuable insights and contribute to the ongoing success of Maconaquah. Participants will explore the inner workings of Maconaquah, from business operations to academic initiatives and student support services.
Our Ambassador cohorts will...
- Go Behind the Scenes: Gain exclusive insights into the inner workings of Maconaquah Schools.
- Experience Innovative Learning: Immerse yourself in engaging teaching methods used in our classrooms.
- Engage with Leadership: Participate in open dialogues with district leaders on pressing education topics.
- Discover Our Unique Culture: Understand how Maconaquah fosters a culture of excellence and innovation.
Ambassador graduates will continue to be valuable partners in shaping Maconaquah's future, sharing our vision with the community and contributing to future initiatives.
To fully participate in the Braves Ambassador program, members commit to three hours (9 a.m.-12 p.m.) on the third Tuesday of each month for seven months. Accepted members must be able to attend sessions held at various locations across the district. Classes involve a combination of discussions, readings, and site visits.
Selection Process:
To ensure a rich learning experience, Braves Ambassador classes are intentionally small. Candidates must apply and be selected to participate. Applications open each June, and applicants are notified of their status in July. We seek diverse participants, including community leaders and parent representatives from each of our schools. Ideal candidates are active community members, passionate about public education, and eager to advocate for Maconaquah Schools. If not selected, we encourage applicants to reapply in future years.
